(Old) Politics vs. (Sound) Policy

McCain's opposition to a plan for withdrawal only has legs in the U.S. and his oft-touted plan to occupy Iraq indefinitely (using South Korea as a model) is simply bad policy. Meanwhile, Obama's plan for withdrawal has the support of Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki, who bears the responsibility of keeping the Iraqi people safe.
