Community Health Partners Lays Off 35, Cuts Hours

Lorain, Ohio’s Community Health Partners laid off 35 employees this week, and cut hours for another 51. The hospital system has 2,100 employees.Ten of those laid off were nurses, and three were in management. Most of those laid off will get union-mandated severance.Full-time employees are being asked to voluntarily reduce their work week to 36 hours. These workers would keep their full benefits.
